Nagina is a 28-year-old mother of three who lives in Iynahalli village in Huvina Hadagali taluk. Nagina is a tailor and is the main source of income for the family. She has a 10-year-old daughter who is studying in standard two and two sons who are studying in 4th and 7th standard under the Morarji Desai scheme. Nagina attended the IGD programme and her main take away from the workshop was how to build a good relationship with her daughter. Nagina after the workshop equally shares the household work among her three kids with what they are capable of doing.
One of the things that Nagina noticed in her neighbourhood is that her neighbours have stopped sending their daughters to school, when she approached them enquiring about it, the neighbours complained that the schools are located very far and that was the only excuse they had. Nagina had a conversation with the mothers and their daughters and has managed to help five girls out the eleven she had approached to continue their education and she is proud of herself that she has been able to support those five girls at least.
